Parent View – an online facility launched by Ofsted in October 2011 that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child’s school at any time of the school year:
Child Expoitation & Online Protection Centre (CEOP) – works across the UK tackling child sex abuse and providing advice for parents and young people.
Educate Against Hate – this website gives parents, teachers and school leaders practical advice on protecting children from extremism and radicalisation.
Thinkuknow – guide to internet safety and safe surfing for young people from Think U Know. Learn about online safety when using blogs, chatting, online gaming, P2P and other forms of technology e.g. mobiles
Student Mental Health
This is a very important topic and one that we are aware could affect every student directly or otherwise. Potential issues include eating disorders, self-harm and coping strategies as well as dealing with the pressures of school and exams. This is a topic that we feel is very important to educate our students about; however we understand that parents may also like information regarding this topic. We have staff in school that are happy to discuss any Mental Health issues
