Year 9 students have been doing some food tasting in Energise lessons, which are part of our new 2016-17 Wellbeing curriculum.
They have spent this week’s lessons looking at the importance of having fruits and vegetables in a well-balanced diet. Not only have they researched the benefits of a wide variety of fruits and vegetables but they have also had the opportunity to try some. Students have been tasting anything from avocado to donut peaches (naturally flat rather than round), as they look at developing their choices when trying to hit their ‘five a day’. Some students have found some food that they know for sure that they don’t like, while others have been adding items to the family big shop!
