Restart A Heart Day
127 students of our Year 7 and Year 9 students have taken part in the European Restart a Heart Day world record attempt.
If someone suffers a cardiac arrest, their chances of survival double if it happens in front of a bystander who immediately starts CPR before the ambulance service’s arrival.
Sarah Taylor and Christopher Hills, members of the North East Ambulance service provided our students with free cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.
Students thanked them for the training, reporting that they felt good knowing they could one day save someone’s life.
