World Cancer Day

During the week following World Cancer Day, our students were informed in assemblies of the harmful effects cancer can have on friends, family and peers.

Students discussed how they could reduce their cancer risk factors through healthy active lifestyles and good nutrition, and also how they could help others through charitable fund raising.

The following week students across the school raised £1,120 on a cancer awareness themed non-uniform day to be split between three cancer charities selected by our Post 16 Executive.

This brings the total amount of money raised by our students for charity this academic year to a fantastic £3,827!

Well done to every student involved.
